inspiration of the day: JR
I’ve been a huge fan of JR’s big scale documentary photos for some years now. And I was extremely happy to see him win the TED talks prize last year for his innovative and moving work that he’s graced the world with. He was honored a grant for $100,000 and opportunity and wish to change the world together with the TED community.
He kicks this year off with “Inside Out” in Tunisia, where he’s encouraging people to send photos of themselves for him to print and paste all over the world. In this first stop, he covered the walls of the same spot where a portrait of Ben Ali was kept along with posting photos all over the Country. It’s a gesture to show the power of art and to keep the people of Tunisia motivated.
